Anil Arora, Chief Statistician of Canada 
Anil Arora is an experienced senior public official, having worked at Statistics Canada for over 25 years leading significant programs and transformations. He was appointed Chief Statistician of Canada in September, 2016. He has also served in policy and regulatory roles in the Government of Canada at Natural Resources Canada and Health Canada. Mr. Arora has led substantive international initiatives, working with the United Nations and the OECD, and received numerous prestigious awards for leadership. He serves on a number of Boards and is active in community events and social causes. Mr. Arora received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta, with subsequent studies in computer science. He holds a graduate certificate in public sector management and governance from the University of Ottawa and the Government of Canada’s Advanced Leadership Development Program.

Anil Arora est un haut fonctionnaire chevronné qui possède plus de 25 ans d’expérience à Statistique Canada et qui a dirigé des initiatives de transformation et des programmes d’envergure. Il a été nommé statisticien en chef du Canada en septembre 2016. Il a également assumé des fonctions liées aux politiques et à la réglementation au sein du gouvernement du Canada, particulièrement à Ressources naturelles Canada et à Santé Canada. M. Arora a dirigé des initiatives internationales importantes, notamment en travaillant avec les Nations Unies et l’OCDE, et il a reçu de nombreux prix prestigieux de leadership. Il siège à un certain nombre de conseils et soutient activement des activités communautaires et des causes sociales. M. Arora s’est vu décerner un baccalauréat ès sciences de l’Université de l’Alberta, puis a étudié en informatique. Il a ensuite obtenu un certificat d’études supérieures en gestion avancée dans le secteur public à l’Université d’Ottawa, et suivi le Programme avancé en leadership du gouvernement du Canada.
